User:Erik Nelson

Erik Nelson is a former quiz bowl player and coach. He played high school quiz bowl for Roseville until 2001, and later played for the University of Minnesota. Since his career in real quiz bowl ended, he has played in several trash tournaments, earning multiple scoring awards.

Since 2013, Erik has been the head writer and editor for ACRONYM, a house-written pop culture tournament once run by Robbinsdale Armstrong High School, and now run by his own company, Play Quiz Bowl LLC. In 2017, he founded the Bounceback Foundation, a non-profit focused on mental health. He is also a writer, editor, and regular staffer for NAQT.
