I joined the Grayson County Middle School Academic Team in 2002 and played for 3 years. As Captain in 8th Grade, I led GCMS to a Regional Title for only the 3rd time in school history. As I moved on to Grayson County High School, I continued my growth as a player and became a full time starter on varsity my junior year. My senior year I became captain, and I discovered good quizbowl. After leading GCHS to its first State appearance ever, we also attended the 2009 HSNCT, posting a 5-5 record. I am currently attempting to start a quizbowl team at Western Kentucky University, while I serve as a volunteer assistant for GCHS.
