History Teacher Georgetown Day School, former Congressional Aide, and Village Manager (Slayton House) Columbia, Maryland. Degrees from Vassar College and the Johns Hopkins University. Also studied at Brandeis University. My involvement with Quiz Bowl began in 1987 when I began to coach "It's Academic", and the many -- always good, occasionally GREAT-- GDS teams began to compete in local and national tournaments. In 2009, I moved away from quiz bowl, and though I still take a strong interest in the game, I have focused more on the TV game as well as other formats-- especially Academic WorldQuest-- GDS teams have won two out of the last three regional tournaments and recently placed sixth nationally.
