Just as an additional clarifier to James' earlier remarks, JetBlue flies nonstop to Long Beach from Dulles and JFK (and nonstop from JFK to Ontario). Including reasonable one stop destinations, they also fly from Burlington VT, Buffalo/Rochester/Syracuse NY, 5 cities in Florida, Oakland, Las Vegas, and Salt Lake City. (Currently, purchasing a ticket on JetBlue from JFK to Long Beach for tomorrow's flight is $299 one way. Advance purchase is $139.) There is also ATA (American Trans Air?) which flies to Los Angeles from Chicago and Indianapolis. And two notes about finding cheap airfares (which I only include b/c it seems that some of you aren't familiar with this stuff): (1) Look for the secondary airports in or near major markets (Ontario/Orange County.Long Beach in Los Angeles; BWI in Washington, Providence in Boston, Midway in Chicago, Akron/Canton in Cleveland, etc) (2) Saturday night stayovers generally are much cheaper than other flights. If you can fly out first thing on Sunday morning for $300-400 less than taking a Saturday night redeye, you might want to consider it. Kenny Peskin (happy that my former Cornell teammates, for once, have a convenient and inexpensive flight option) jdinan8271 wrote: NAQT may be interested in perhaps working out an agreement with Southwest and other airlines to offer discount rates to teams/players to fly to Los Angeles. JetBlue, for instance, flies from Washington Dulles and New York Kennedy to John Wayne Orange County. National Airlines, Midwest Express and AmericaWest are other options. They can fill the Southwest holes. --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!?
