I moderated at the Florida tournament, and there were a fair number of little typos in the packs. On the other hand, Kelly sent me the packs on Sunday night and I only looked through about 5 of them, missing at least a couple of errors which I only noticed in the tournament, so I wasn't very helpful. Kelly sent out corrections of those errors which were caught in advance. Another thing I didn't really notice until moderating is that some of the sentences were rather long, to the point of being difficult to read. Pronunciation guides on some names might also have been helpful. But again, these are very minor points, and all are attributable to the undue amount of work with which the editor was burdered. On the whole, I'd say Kelly did a fabulous job. As for a couple of the criticisms which were levied, I thought the bonuses seemed fairly consistent, at least in the matches I moderated. I didn't see any 'zero or thirty' bonus streaks, or anything close to that. And I have no objection to having 5 packs by Kelly in the set -- really, I don't think a familiarity with Kelly's writing style really confers any advantage -- I've never noticed any particular tilt in his writing style of subject matter which would give any team an edge. Again, my thanks to Kelly for a putting together a solid set of questions. The Florida tournament had a few very experienced teams (in terms of qb) and a lot of very inexperienced teams, and both groups seemed to enjoy the tournament. --Raj Dhuwalia, UF
