As far as it went, I think Kelly did a fine job editing, a few of
those minor issues aside. The bonus structure was a little odd at
times, with a Celebrity Jeopardy 10, an easy 10, and then a smackdown
for the last. But my main concern is with the difficulty level.
Now, this year was advertised as being easy, and so it was, and
that's perfectly ok. I would suggest that in future, though, it maybe
shouldn't be THAT easy. The inexperienced teams aren't any better
off with a question on Einstein or Waterloo if they're playing an
experienced team that still can lay the smack down on a clue 3 words
in. Now, yes, it should still be easy and accessible, with gettable
give-aways and whatnot for all, but it'll be more enjoyable for the
experienced teams, while giving the inexperienced teams a better
understanding of how the circuit really operates. Easy is good, but
let's not play like it's a junior bird. Just my thoughts.
