Michigan Academic Competitions announces the 2003 University of 
Michigan Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Tournament, scheduled for 
Saturday, January 18th at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.

The tournament is a timed, NAQT-style packet submission event.  Full 
packet requirements are available in the updated Michigan Memorandum 
and its Appendix.

FEES
First team from a school				$90
Each additional team from a school			$85
Discount for a fully functional buzzer system (max 2)	-$5
Discount for a full-time moderator (max 2)		-$10
Packet quality discount (*)				-$0-$25/team

Distance Discount (500 miles or more)			-$20/team
Packet Submitted by November 30				-$30
Packet Submitted by December 14				-$15
Packet Submitted by December 31				-$5
Packet Submitted by January 3				-$0
Packet Submitted n days after January 3			+$2^(n-1)

Minimum entry fee per team				$50
Maximum entry fee per team				$135
Hard copy of questions (available after the tournament)	$20
