In Region 12, we had seventeen teams separated into two pools. The results as I remember them. Pool 1 1. Arkansas 8-0 2. Midwestern State 7-1 3. Rice 6-2 4. SMU 5-3 Pool 2 1. LSU 7-0 2. UH - Downtown 5-2 Arkansas State 5-2 Henderson State 5-2 The three-way tie in pool two was pretty interesting. One of the captains specifically raised the question on Friday night, and no response was given. When the unthinkable occurred on Saturday, several teams were visibly perplexed. The tie-breaker was: 1. Overall record (each at 5-2) 2. Head-to-head (each was 1-1 against each other) 3. Points per toss up (UH-D advances) The finals: UA def UH-D LSU def MWS UA def LSU MWS def UH-D (UH-D eliminated) LSU def MWS (MWS eliminated) UA def LSU, 235-175 (winning third Region 12 in four years) UA was certainly gracious in victory, not calling "SOOOUUUUUIIIIIIEEEE!!!" until after they left the room. All-Stars: Worman (or was that Wyman? (inside joke)) (UA) Bailey (MWS) Johnson (LSU) Someone from SMU (SMU) Wilton(?)(UH-D) (Josh just missed All-Star, but certainly deserved it) UT-Permian Basin won Miss Congeniality Good luck to all going on to Penn.
