At the end of the 11 team round robin prelims, standings for the 2 divisions are as follows:

Notes: Emory A defeated Maryland head to head.  Iowa State defeated Florida head to head.  Texas A&M defeated Chicago A head to head.  Michigan B left immediately after Round 11 to catch their flight.  Harvard defeated Vanderbilt on a 20 question shootout round.

After the initial round robin, the top four teams in each division played the top four teams in the other division.  The teams that placed 5-8 in each division played the 5-8 teams of the other division and the bottom three teams in each division played the bottom three from the other division.

At the end of Round 15, standings are as follows:

Berkeley and Michigan A would then play a best-of-3 playoff with Berkeley having a one-game advantage.

Michigan A defeated Berkeley   285-220  to even the series at 1-1.  Berkeley then defeated Michigan A   285-180 to take home the Merideth Cup.
