As far as DePauw is concerned, I'd like to acknowledge two people:
First and foremost Sarah Mordan-McCombs, who never played in high
school, but who agreed to play for DUCKS her sophomore year and has
gotten better every semester she's played, not to mention keeping
the team alive and thriving last year.
And on the up-and-coming front is Amanda Hartman, who will lead
DUCKS in the coming semesters and might end up one of the better art
players on the circuit (she also led all DUCKS scorers on either of
two teams at a pretty difficult MLK tournament this January). If
she's seen a painting once, her photographic memory is better than
most people I know.
Also, I'd like to agree with the mentiones of Bridget Ker and
Stephanie Craig, both of whom have indeed been very impressive in
matches played against DUCKS. In the one match I've played against
Bridget (this year at Ann B. Davis), she and one gentleman who knew
sports pretty much single-handedly kept Western Ontario in a match
against DUCKS, which came down to the last question, as I recall.
