The rather casual references to tournament hosts editing ACF and NAQT
regionals questions leaves me flummoxed, discombulated and
flabbergasted. Is this common practice? Leaving aside the obvious
havoc that this wreaks on NAQT rankings--if teams were not playing on
the SAME questions than the results cannot be compared across
regionals--it renders the integrity of everyone involved rather
suspect. That notably poor question writers would have the
effrontery to edit questions produced by ACF and/or NAQT is hard to
fathom. If, in fact, these actions took place and the extent was
more than nominal, the fees paid by those teams who thought they were
playing on actual NAQT and ACF questions should be refunded.
