You may have heard of something called a "Dutch
auction" where the price continually drops until someone
buys something - with the term being derived from its
consistent use in flower auctions. If not, you just
did.
It seems to me that qb is quite similar - hard clues
give way to easy clues until someone finally decides
to risk buzzing in.
Has anyone ever
considered running either tossups or bonuses in a "standard
auction" style? No, I have no idea how this would work,
but I thought that it was interesting.
