While I'm fairly certain that we deserved to finish where we did, and that we in fact *did* finish where we did, I had no idea what process was being used to determine who moved into 4th among the 2- loss teams. If there had been another round (as was originally planned) of power matching, I suppose Yale A and Maryland would have decided the outcome with an actual game. While I think it's likely that Yale A was a better team than we were, it's also likely that Michigan was better than Yale A. Stats are all well and good, but it's always better (not to mention more fun) to play the game. It wouldn't have mattered anyway, though, since we left once Samer decided to do away with the semifinals and just have Michigan and Rochester play a best 2/3. And I haven't seen any stats -- my reasoning is based on word-of- mouth and vague reckoning. Stats from the power matches should be interesting...hopefully Samer will get to those after he gets the brackets up. I had a good time overall, but the constant waiting around/wasting time and the fluidity of the playoffs need to be remedied by PB14. - Guy
