Please accept this in lieu of an email. This was a very very
enjoyable tournament and a nice counterbalance to the sectional
tourney the day before which I had the pleasure of participating in
as a moderator. Depauw (with the assistance of NAQT people like
Barker and Burger on Saturday and by itself Sunday) ran a very
organized weekend that far exceeded my expectations. The themes of
the trash tournament were also wonderful in that people had the
option to choose what they wanted to play on (sports or tv for a
general example). This I think led to more focused packets than
what we're used to (The range of trash answers in a standard packet
is very broad, after all.) and the writers provided a nice mix of
the challenging and the entertaining, which is all one could want
from a trash set. Massive kudos and thanks from all at WUSTL, and
if I'm in this area next year I'll do this if it's similar.
