Trader Ted's Bargain Basement, comprised of Jon Couture, Mike Hoey-Lukakis, Josh Levit, and Peter Stone, took the title today at Cancel Bowl 4, besting a Brandeis team that was way too personal with their team name. Trader Ted's took the title by one point (using modified NASL standings). For their trouble they took home Birmingham Bolts insulated mugs, while the Brandeisians each got a copy of what could be the cheapest-made baseball-based board game ever. BU won the lower bracket, and were rewarded with each player getting their very own Ambervision clip-on sunglasses. In individual scoring, a Columbia player playing under the name University of Chicago took the overall scoring title (kudos to Crap Bag from Mr. Peanut Has Mad Skillz for his higher average, albeit over a half-day). A variety of romance novels were lavished on the top seven scorers, most notable an audiobook of an Ivana Trump novel (read by Morgan Fairchild) and a three books in one set of novels and the autobiography of Joan Collins. Thanks to all who attended, thanks to BU for getting the rooms, and special thanks to the University of Georgia for providing Tournament by the Sea questions, allowing us to play more than four rounds. Cancel Bowl 4.25 to 4.5 will take place at some point over the summer, hopefully, date and location TBA given a variety of factors. A link to full results will be posted when available. Mark
