ACF Fall 2004 at Illinois

The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Academic Buzzer Team 
is proud to announce that it will serve as the Midwest site for this 
year's Academic Competition Federation Fall tournament. That 
tournament will be held on Saturday, October 30th on our beautiful 
campus.

ACF Fall is a tournament designed to appeal to most everyone. It is 
designed to be accessible enough for a new player, yet sufficiently 
challenging for the most experienced veteran. Like all ACF events, 
ACF Fall requires packet submission as per the editors'
guidelines 
at (http://www.hsquizbowl.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1114).

The following are the deadlines for packet submission from those 
guidelines:
Sept 24th: -$15 for full packets, -$10 for "novice" and "freshmen" 
packets. 
Oct 4th: No penalty deadline for all packets 
Oct 11th: +$20 for full packets, +$10 for "novice" and "freshman" 
packets. 
Oct 18th: +$40 for full packets, +$20 for "novice" and "freshman" 
packets. 
No packets will be accepted after Oct 18th unless previous 
arrangements have been made with the editors.

The tournament fees and discounts for the UIUC site are as follows:
Experienced ACF Teams: $100
Novice Teams (entirely 1st and 2nd year players): $60
Teams that haven't competed at an ACF tournament in the past two 
years: $45
Discount for Functional Buzzer System: -$10
Discount for Competent Game Official (as determined by us): -$25
