And Las Vegas > legend Clint Holmes again demonstrated that he's the master moderator. It occurs to me, Mr. Michael, that I didn't refuse to give up my seat so your cracker ass could condescend to my people. It's bad enough CBI still runs this tournament, but it's even worse that people still think it is relevant! The QuizBowl equivalent of the Vibe awards is incredibly insulting and its continued existence would make Stepin Fetchit smile real big right before he started tap dancing with glee on a watermelon while playing a mouth harp. Did Mr. Reid give that speech again about how black people aren't good enough to play on the real circuit and it's a good thing we were segregated? In fact if it came down to having the Honda on tv for a few years (on BET no less!) v. getting a shot at having real CBI finally back on tv for a season, I wonder which option CBI would take? I have a hard time believing they'd choose for "that other" national even though for some reason those schools have given you a loyalty you clearly don't deserve. Those "classic" Honda games of which you speak were from the era of forced segregation on the circuit and if they were of a high quality of play, they should be regarded with sadness as those teams were denied a chance to play at the NCT because CBI successfully maintained Jim Crow decades after Strom Thurmond gave up. When will the players/coaches/staffers/hangers on of this circuit finally own the racist history of quizbowl and do something proactive to end Quizbowl's Negro Leagues? Can someone please give Josh Gibson, Cool Papa Bell, and Satch a buzzer? Rosa Parks
