CAPITOL PUNISHMENT II: Thank You Sir, May I Have
Another?
A trash/pop culture event hosted on the George
Washington University campus in Washington, DC on July
14-15, 2000.
Also featuring: Family Feud Bowl, a
singles even hosted by Bryce Avery.
FORMAT:
The
tournament will be held following modified ACF rules, with
the following modifications:
1. Power tossups --
Tossup questions correctly answered very early are worth
15 points, a la NAQT.
2. Bonus bouncebacks -- The
opposing team receives a chance to answer, for the full
point value, components of the other team's boni.
3.
Bonus sinking -- A bonus may be skipped for no points
and play continues.
No clocks will be used.
Rounds will be played to 20
tossups.
FEES:
Base fee: $55
Discount fee: $10/moderator or
buzzer
Minimum fee: $35
PACKETS:
All packets will be
written by the tournament's organizers; no submission is
required. Furthermore, there will be 10 strictly academic
questions (five tossups, five boni) randomly distributed
throughout the tournament.
