April 28th and 29th: Not wanting to be left out of all the fun happening in the east and south, St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota is happy to announce that it too will be hosting a mirror of the Moon Pie and RC Cola tournaments for a fun weekend of both academia and trash. Fee Structure The base fee is $85 per tournament, but through the following discounts, the price can be lowered to a minimum of $50 per tournament: -$30 if the team is playing in both tournaments -$5 per working buzzer system (up to 3) -$10 for a full time moderator per tournament (i.e. -$20 if he/she moderates both tournaments) -$5 for each 100 miles travelled -$5 for each additional team brought by the school Format and Teams Because these are two separate tournaments and not a two-day tournament, it is not necessary for a team to have the same people both days. Also, unlike the Moon Pie Classic at UTC, the field will not be split into two divisions of play. The only way I could see this as possible is if we get upwards of 16 teams attending - which is pretty unlikely. More information on the schedule once we have an idea of how many teams are attending. Registration We will accept teams through Wednesday the 25th, but that doesn't mean you can't register earlier! To register or ask a question about the tournament, please email Matthias Hunt (huntm_at_...). This message has been cross-posted on the forums at hsquizbowl.org
