TRASH (Testing Recall About Strange Happenings)
is pleased to announce our first summer tournament.
It is also our first packet-submission tournament.
And it is also the first tournament ever to invade
the land of Wayne Newton, Steve Wynn and Siegfried &
Roy

 The TRASH Summer Bash - West Coast tournament
will be held the weekend of June 23-35, 2000 at
Boulder Palms Suite Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. Boulder Palms
is located just 10 minutes from the Famous Las Vegas
Strip and McCarren International Airport. 

 To
play in this tournament, you MUST submit a packet. I
repeat - you MUST SUBMIT A PACKET!! If you don't by the
drop-dead date, you're thrown out of the tournament - no
appeals, no begging, nothing.

 However, we are
going to make packet writing a little easier, by
letting teams write only HALF A PACKET. That's
right...teams only need to write 12 tossups and 12 bonuses.

"minor" categories.

 We will combine a Vegas
packet with a packet from our East Coast mirror
tournament (announcement coming in a few days) to create a
full packet.

 Packet submission dates


May 26 - early deadline, discount (TBA)
 June 12 -
no-penalty deadline
 June 19 - drop dead, final
deadline

 The first three teams (Las Vegas and East Coast
combined) to submit a proper packet will play for FREE, as
long as they submit their packets before 5/26. The
second three (again, LV and EC combined) to submit a
proper packet by 5/26 will play for 50% off.

 To
reserve your room at Boulder Palms, call (800) 695-8284,
extension 1709. Ask for Monica, and ask for a room at the
Boulder Palms. You should be charged a rate of
55.95/night (Reserving your room for Friday and Saturday
nights is recommended by TRASH, as we will be playing
the games IN THE HOTEL ROOMS). Reservations must be
made by credit card, and there is a $50 cancellation
fee.

room at Boulder Palms ASAP. Packets should be sent to
Phil Groce at pgroce_at_... (DO NOT SEND PACKETS TO
ME! SEND THEM TO PHIL!)

 We will have prices
for the tourney up in the coming days. We should also
have an announcement on the Atlantic City/East Coast
tournament in a few days as well. If you're interested in
playing in the AC tournament, send me an e-mail as
well.
