"For the time frame given, the tournament was on
time. However, starting a tournament at 2 PM is a bad
thing."
Why? I would love to be able to sleep late instead of
getting up at 7:30 or earlier for a tournament (and I'm
sure I'm not the only one). It promotes a relaxed
environment and may lead to better efficiency as the director
may be better-rested and more alert. A tournament
shouldn't be held simply to finish on time anyway. That
should be a positive and logical consequence of a good
tournament. What difference does it make if it runs late
anyway? Ask yourself, "Is my time really that precious
that I need to give a damn?"
