1) YAHOO CLUB NEWS: The artist currently known as Prince praises Napster and slams the recording industry. REFLEX REACTION: He *would*. 2) The series Dark Angel, premiering this fall on FOX, intrigues me in a trainwreck sort of way so that I just might give it a shot. However, I am curious: who's that they show playing (ostensibly) the title character? She looks like a genetic blend of Janeane Garofalo, Britney Spears, and Courtney Love. (And as much as I like/respect all three, that's NOT a thought I need.) 3) People are giving predictions. Well, the way I see it, the Southeast will have the usual suspects of South Carolina and Kentucky standing tall and proud -- assuming Kelly didn't retire on me. Georgia Tech will continue rebuilding, Duke and UNC will continue establishing cred, and should Arkansas be considered Southeast, I'd watch out for them. The team interesting me is Florida. I'm not sure who's back and who isn't, and that'll bias my view of them big time, but if all or most of their team returns, they could be a preseason National Top 10. 4) And by the way, does the QB Top 25 still exist? Because if it stopped, I'd be glad to restart it -- or replace it with computer rankings of some sort. 5) Something that strikes me when I consider how time flies: ten years ago, I first appeared on WRC-TV as a fifth grader in the Regional Spelling Bee. Hopefully, our family is the only one with a copy of that tape. Although I'm sure none of YOU have any interest whatsoever in knowing what I was like at age 10. So now that I said that, how many tape requests you think I'm gonna get? :p 6) Duke's housing department is weird. Just thought I'd let you know. 7) Be thankful you're not on qb-sports right now, because we just got through with a meaningful intelligent discussion of the Los Angeles Clippers. (For those not in the know, this is like discussing the chances of, say, U of Delaware winning the national championship.) 8) Saint Louis in April! Woo-hoo! I can't wait. In all seriousness, I am psyched by the decision of NAQT to invade St. Lou in 2001, because it's my mother's hometown, born and raised. I still have mucho familia there, and that's good stuff. 9) The trick behind Rare Entries is not to have too many of them. Either entries per answer, or answers per round. I think KMW's rounds established that. Oh, well, good intentions. X) And finally, has anyone ever left their chewing gum on their bedpost overnight, just to see if it lost its flavor or not? Happy Monday. I'm going home early to prepare for a long night of Clinton-mocking. Andy Goss Designation: Evil
