Dear all, This has generated a lot more... well, STUFF, than I thought it would. > I believe in responsibility. I, Phil Castagna, > made the comments in question. I know that it > was out of line and I am sorry for saying it. First off, congratulation and thanks to Phil for having the "items" to stand up and take responsibility for his actions. THANK YOU! I am glad you realize it was not only out of line, but untrue. > This does not excuse the personal attack made > by Dorri. I am referring to the "pathetic life" > part of the post. If you want to be mad at me > for what I said, fine. I take offense at a > personal attack. You do not know me or what I > do, so any comments about my life are not > appropriate. Hmm... you take offense at a "personal attack?" Then we're even, because I take offense at your comments. No, wait, we aren't even, because when I said "pathetic life" I was only refering to the part of that life that makes you come to tournaments and behave in such a way that not only discourages others from playing, but insults and hurts people as well. As for the rest of your life, you are right, I have no idea... and if you took any of my comments to apply to your life outside that tournament... well, I apologize, but they were meant as direct commentary on your commentary. As for your retirement, I suppose I shall be seen as the villian in all this... but judging from the barrage of e-mail I have received congratulating me for standing up to you (they guessed, I NEVER told who made the comments) perhaps the retirement comes at an optimum time. I wish you the best of luck in life, and hope this teaches you to watch what and where you say. Sincerely, ~ Dorri Friedman
