(quite understandably, and acting as the mature
one) David Levinson told the flamers to take it
outside, and he created for them qbflame. once taken
elsewhere, personal insults and attacks seemed to lose their
meaning. a troll attempts to mock someone, the attempt
falls flat.

qbtheory has had 58 messages since
it was begun on 5/12. in that same time span,
quizbowl had only 20 more. now, I'm not saying that
quizbowl would be improved by the addition of messages
such as "...each tossup is one test with only three
outcomes: A, B, or neither. Let A(n) be a probability
function of A
 getting a tossup, and B(n) be analogous
for B. We're looking at the ratios of abilities at
infinity of A(n) to B(n)...this may be a
 fudge, but by
L'Hospital's rules, lim A(n)/B(n) as n of approaches infinity
= lim A'(n)/B'(n) as n approaches infinity...in
other
 words, it's the ratio of the rates at which A and
B can get tossups..." which rightfully belong to
those who love theory. 

however. . . when was
the last time Mr. Goss posted anything? where are the
debates about which qb player resembles which pro
athlete? if only someone would open his mouth and insert
his foot. . .
