you mean "Guns, Germs and Steel" by Jared Diamond? If
so, you're absolutely correct about it. It's more of
a textbook than anything else, but still fairly
okay.
Just a couple disease book
recommendations as long as I'm at this: Susan Sontag's "Illness
as Metaphor and AIDS and its Metaphors", Emily
Martin's "Flexible Bodies", and Randy Shilts' "And the
Band Played On".
