<<those who still insist that atheists should be neither seen nor heard, >> I don't know who these people are. I challenge you to find one. In the meantime, you've accused Kristin of harboring sympathy for the Falwell end of things. Simply put, that notion contradicts everything I, at least, have ever heard her say; it also contradicts evidence, now moot, that her orientation is somewhat more malleable that you seem to have assumed. In other words, Matt, you didn't know what you were talking about. But the problem is, and this is where it ties back to the subject of intolerance -- you've always claimed that your own beliefs were "objectively correct" following from a "natural law," and without too much digging either of us can find a half-dozen people who've seen you say as much. And what's more, you've never tolerated anyone else's position. Barely a day goes by that you don't make a cheap shot somewhere against at least one of your favorite bugaboos, be it non-your economics, non-your politics, or the DePauw team; you even boast of this, and again we can both find half a dozen people who have seen you do as much. So either you can be occasionally wrong, like most human beings, or you can take up hermitry. Edmund
