It had been decided in advance that the top two
teams would play in the finals and that the winner of
the head-to-head match between them earlier in the
tournament would have that much of a point edge starting out
in the finals. So, by virtue of Kentucky having
defeated Chicago E earlier in the tournament by 30 points,
they started out with a 30-point lead in the finals.
Andrew and Subash overcame that edge to win the
tournament. So, essentially, it could be thought of as a
double match: one played earlier in the tournament, one
played at the end.
