In the old days of the internet, we had a saying.
Do Not Feed The Energy Creature. Trolls thrive on
making people peeved to the point where they keep a bad
thread going ; in that sense, they feed off of negative
energy.
And while the thread in question, though
it contained ad hominem attacks, did bring up a
somewhat worthy QB-related topic, however indelicately
presented, at first, it's kind of degenerating now and we
have our first sort-of-official complaint. I'd prefer
to see this thread burn itself out personally,
although at least one of my fellow moderators has
suggested taking action if weirdgsp persists in his
anonymous trolling.
(FWIW, I'm a 28-year old
ex-grad who is somewhat concerned that the proliferation
of 8th, 9th, and 10th year players may well be
hurting the game and the development of new blood to the
point where it may be wise to start relegating them to
the Masters' circuit.)
