> So let's dialogue. What should the policy about kicking/banning from > the chatroom look like? *****Well, since you raised the question, and since what Anthony said pretty much made sense, too...should there even be a policy? The only reason this question is being raised is because of Y!'s suckiness. If we were all sitting back up in the Y! room, nobody would be talking about this. But now that we have the power to kick/ban people we don't want, we're talking about doing it. The same people that pissed me off in Y! chat are pissing me off in IRC. However, I respect their right to piss me off, since it goes hand in hand with my right to piss off other people, and I don't think that they should be bounced. I'll also say that, on the other hand, derogatory epithets are not my favorite words to hear, but I'm pretty sure that goes for everyone. If this is an issue of someone making serious personal insults/threats to another, then fine. That should be dealt with by the two parties involved, and possibly an op, if the parties would like an impartial arbitrator. I do not think that a blanket policy of censorship is the best way to deal with this. I'll also say that I'd be one of the first to move to #qbuncensored if such policies were adopted. Had to find a way to use up that Canadian change on my dresser, Stephanie
