Rockridge is a school located in Taylor Ridge, Illinois, which is in western Illinois just south of the Quad Cities. Rockridge competes in Class A, the "small school" division, of the Illinois High School Association's State Championship series. The Rockets also compete in the Three Rivers Conference.

The team was among the best in Illinois during the late 1980s and early 1990s under the leadership of Roma Reed Smith, a member of the IHSSBCA Hall of Fame. Rockridge won the 1990 Masonic tournament, which was not separated by class, and they were the first team to win the small school division of the IHSA State Championship in 1992. The team had a little return to glory with a 3rd place finish at the 2004 IHSA under Coach Jon Lehtola.

To date, the program's State titles make the Rockets one of the most all-time successful teams from the Quad Cities along with Moline & Riverdale (IL).
