NSC

1998

The Latin School of Chicago appeared at the first NSC in 1998, and finished 0-6, last place out of seven teams in the "Air" division of the preliminaries. There was no attempt to give a final ranking of all teams.

2001

In 2001, Team Illinois attended NSC as an exhibition team, finishing 5-2, but was unable to advance to the playoffs. Stevenson finished 3rd in their division with a 4-2 record, and then finished 1-4 in their playoff pool. Again, there was apparently no final ranking of the field.

2004

New Trier was the lone Illinois representative, and finished 5-2 (3rd place) in its preliminary pool. In the playoffs, New Trier finished 1-4, for fifth place out of six teams in its pool.

2007

New Trier finished third in its preliminary pool (6-2). In the playoffs, New Trier finished last of six teams with an 0-5 record. Carbondale sent two teams: Carbondale A finished 4-4, fifth in its pool, and Carbondale B finished 0-8, last in its preliminary pool; neither made the playoffs.

2008

Auburn made its NSC debut with a 5-2 record in the preliminaries. Carbondale and Wheaton North each went 4-3 in the preliminaries. None of the Illinois teams finished in the top 12 in the preliminaries, and missed the playoffs.

2009

In the prelims, Auburn finished 5-2 (3rd place), Loyola Academy finished 5th (4-3), Loyola B finished 8th (0-7), St. Viator finished 6th (2-5), Carbondale, New Trier, and Auburn finished 3rd (5-2). While no Illinois teams figured in the final playoffs, Auburn's 10-3 record gave it what appears to be a 10th place finish overall, with Carbondale at 9-5 finishing 17th.

With the NSC in Evanston, Illinois had a sizable contingent at the 2011 NSC. Illinois got three teams into the top 8, and the four top individual scorers were all from Illinois teams.
