Yikes... Good heavens! Patience! In short, the NAQT HS State Championship happened in California. Sixteen teams entered the tournament (Div. I), but the night before two teams pulled out, making the tournament director (me) re-do the schedule the morning of the tournament. On top of that, three moderators (_not_ UCI students) failed to show up, which forced us to use people who were supposed to keep score to moderate. It was a miracle that nothing major went wrong during the tournament. Congratulations to Bentley A for winning Division I!! Kudos also go to San Dieguito Academy for coming in second. There was a three-way tie for third place, broken by total points (see below). In my opinion (having run a godzillion tournaments), this is by far the most even field I've ever seen. Anyone could have beaten anyone else. There were major upsets and miraculous comebacks all throughout the tournament.
