JHU's 1st Annual I Can't Believe It's Not ACF Trash Tournament is pleased to announce the inclusion of character classes. Any thoughts? Players can choose before the tournament to be either a fighter, a cleric, a wizard, or a thief. Abilities: fighters get 25 points instead of 10 if they manage to get correct one of three random pre-determined tossups each round (say 3, 14, and 17). This is a potential to really pad up your individual stats (up to 75 instead of 30 with a little good luck!). Thieves can steal 1 bonus before the prompt, which allows for a potential 60 point swing. It doesn't help your individual stats but maybe the ability that helps your team the most. Wizards can automatically invoke a spell and get 1 tossup correct/round. They can then say "I demand that the answer to this tossup be: blahblahblah" and it shall be so. The downside, you (or another teammate)might've gotten it anyway. The Cleric with his mystical healing powers actually GAINS five points every time he negs. Perfect for one player teams but may hurt clerics who start getting neg-happy and taking tossups away from teammates. All in all, you shall drive home from this tourney bitter and angry at your teammates. Hurrah! Oh, and we're also having lames and dares/double dares (I'm sure you can figure those out on your own).
